Two Summer Employment Opportunities are Available
at the Edmonton Conservation Centre For Excellence

We have two summer employment positions available at the Edmonton Conservation Centre for Excellence. They are each 14 week positions; the rate of pay is $10.00 to $12.00 per hour, depending upon qualifications.  Eligible candidates must (A)  Have been registered as a full time student during the preceding academic year  (B)  Intend to return to post secondary education this fall and (C) Be between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age.

 Administrative Assistant 2008

 Position requires inventory control, filing, stocking, general office maintenance, public contact and invoice material control. Other duties include sales (license and materials), telephone answering and petty cash. Assistance with various program delivery including the Outdoor Women’s Program and conservation education programs.Position may also require public speaking and presentation to groups and public that attends courses, programs and drop ins to the Edmonton Conservation Education Centre for Excellence. A variety of computer work utilizing various word processing, publisher and excel programs.

Conservation Education Program Assistant Position 2008

Position requires classroom preparation and assistance with the delivery of all Conservation Education programs.  Various classes are scheduled during that period, varying from 1-5 days each in duration.  Administration of class records, certificates and license sales (WIN cards) will also be required.  Instruction supervision and program delivery of all conservation classes is also required. Course promotion, scheduling and booking to all interested groups and individuals will be a large component.   Strong computer skills and database knowledge is an asset for this position. Position also requires maintenance, shipping and up keep of all “Wildlife is Everywhere Kits,” audio visual equipment and instructor resources.  Assistance with youth club activities, some stocking, filing and general office duties will also be required. All AHEIA Instructor Certification for all AHEIA programs will be issued to successful individuals before classroom program delivery commences.
